Went to Jusco to pick up grocery with KC last Friday. I just popped my head over to his side and noticed the petrol gauge showed two bars left. Ahem....he just returned from KL and I think we need to fill the tank.
After shopping we hopped in the car and he casually said; "Let's go for a drive."
My antenna went up!! I knew it....the petrol signal was blinking wildly. Off we went to the nearest station and I was up to my usual self...nag and nag.
I recalled my experience with this car five years ago. There was also two bars left, I jammed up the hill to pick up the kids, left them in the car to buy lunch and by the time I drove off; the lights went blinking too. Stopped at the traffic light and when it turned green, the car just stopped. I was shocked and panicked. It was a new car then....what could have possibly gone wrong?
A kind man pushed the car to the side and told me to walk to the petrol station(about 300m away) and buy some petrol.
That's why I have great phobia whenever the lights go blinking. I never allow the gauge to drop any lower than two bars!!!

I had a similar experience once while driving back to Sitiawan from KL via the coastal road. Those days it was quite deserted. The heart didn't slow down until we came to a petrol kiosk.
... and thanks to your experience, u pass the phobia to me!!! I also will start panic when the lights go blink2 now ... can u gv me better influence?
errppp! and here's me thinking maybe i should get a fuel canister and keep some diesel in the boot... just in case! now we are all paranoid lol
ps - my Ma told me once when she and my Dad visited me at the boarding school in TI, they ran out of petrol and had to buy some "ribena" in bottles from some of the roadside houses... hahaha! wonder if those are still there/ needed now???
maybe this is a woman thing....KC said he was on the highway once and the lights blinked and he managed to drive to the nearest station cooly.
Whenever I ask him if there is enough gas, he would say yes; but I have my doubts.
