the Boscombe Valley Mystery

This is one of the literature books used by the Form One students. It is not a simplified version of the book but a fully illustrated version like a comic book!!! Such simplicity yet some students in the weaker class can't follow it fully if not explained in BM.

In my good classes; I get the students to act out chapter by chapter. Some of the girls are very creative and put a lot of effort in to make it interesting and fun. Here is one group and their props for the act.

Tess, Deena and Dharshana all dressed up for the roles of Watson, Holmes and Lestrade; I think.

Hehehe....they even drew a map to show where Ballarat is but unfortunately their Geography is a total mess!!!!! Had to go through the various places on the map with them and tell them how totally unrelated these places are to each other geographically.

Two bottles of beer!!!! How did they sneak these into school??

Look at this...the bottles of beer on the map. They are just miniatures.

It's really fun teaching students who make effort to learn and participate. 1 Sigma is one of the best class that I'm teaching this year. I think I enjoy young teens better than the older teens who tend to be more judgmental of the teachers
