KC and I rushed off to Jusco to pick the stuff needed for the bbq. By 4pm, we were all ready and started working on the dinner.
The boys; as usual in charge of preparing and cooking the food.
Dan was taking care of the sweet potatoes and yam while Jet supervised.
Take turns; Dan had a wet cloth over his nose...to smelly/smoky???
We tried a different type of fish today ... salmon in bbq sauce. Really good. Not too dry; juicy with the sauce.
New Zealand mussels. Marinade them in a little salt and lots of chilly powder. Really good....a little pedas because of the chilly powder. Almost everybody enjoyed this. It is a must for the next bbq.
The usual; sausage, baked potatoes, bread and we added corn. The corn was fantastic. Real sweet. I loved it. Will do it again.
After the bbq, the old folks sat around and chatted a bit. Don't know what history ma was digging up for MIL.
The bookwork continued worming into her book.
It was a great bbq. Gets better and better. We decided that we will have bbq again for CNY eve dinner. So easy. On top of it; it is real healthy to cook food this way; cooked with minimum oil.
I have already planned my CNY eve menu. Looking forward to another great BBQ and of course a better year.

PP: the mussels were really delicious...fat n juicy. A small pack for RM10 plus; quite expensive but worth every cent of it. Local ones would be cheaper but have not seen any as big as this.
